Specifications
All images on this site comply with the following
specifications. Included here are some tips when
processing the images in order to get the best
possible reproduction.
All images have been taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark
2. On camera settings are as follows -:
Color matrix = 4Adobe RGB (Adobe RGB 1998)
Sharpness = 0
Contrast = -2
Minimal editing is carried out off camera prior to
uploading to this site. Editing that MAY be carried
out is as follows -:
Cropping = The photographer may crop the image.
Please note, additional pixels will never be added
to the image.
Exposure = Minor exposure correction may be carried
out. Please note, this is rare and when done, is
minimal.
No other editing is done prior to uploading to the
site.
All images are uploaded to the site as high resolution JPEG
files.
All images are uploaded at the pixel size following
any cropping that is carried out. The pixel size of
each image will be displayed with the image on the
site and also contained in the image's metadata. All
images on the site are 72DPI (Dots per Inch).
Processing Tips
DPI (Dots per Inch). The DPI should be set to the
medium that the images are being printed on.
Following are some guides for various mediums -: (please
note, these are guides only, these will vary
depending on the output devices used).
Newsprint = 180 - 200DPI
Glossy magazine 300+DPI
Web 72DPI
Be careful not to add pixels to the image when
altering the DPI.
Sharpening. As no sharpening is carried out prior to
uploading to this site, it is important that the
image has some sharpening carried out prior to
printing. Following is a guide for sharpening. The
guide and how to do it is from Adobe Photoshop

From the menu = Filter then
Sharpen then
Unsharpmask. Then follow the settings below -:
Amount = 200%
Radius = 0.3 Pixels
Threshold = 0 Levels
These settings are only a guide. Please take care
not to over sharpen.
Contrast. The contrast setting on the camera is the
lowest possible setting -2. Therefore the images on
this site have little or no contrast. It may be
appropriate to add a little contrast to some images.

From the menu = Image then
Adjustments then
Brightness/Contrast. Then follow the settings below
-:
Move the slide until you have the desired contrast
in the image. Ensure that the preview option is
checked. These settings are only a guide. Please
take care not to add too much contrast as you may
dramatically change the colours and appearance of
the image. A good guide is to avoid going over +30
Site Use
Authorised users are issued a
username and password for downloading High
Resolution images. To download an image, simply
click on the thumbnail of the image you require, and
when the username and password window appears, input
your username and password. The high resolution
image will then load into your browser. Wait until
the image has completed downloading, then right
click on the image and save it to your computer.
Each image will contain a caption that can be cut
and pasted if desired. The caption is also included
with the image's IPTC metadata in the description
field.
Following the caption are the dimensions of the
image in pixels. This information is also contained
in the metadata that accompanies the image.
Following the dimension information is the image's
reference number. The number is also the filename of
the image.
Following the reference number is the
photographer's name for photo credit / bi-line.
Following the photo credit is a preview option.
The preview option can be used to view a larger
version of the image without downloading the high
resolution version of the image.
Images printed on conventional photographic paper
can be purchased. To order prints. Where the
orderform asks for an event name, input "NZ Knights
FC" and the photo(s) Ref: No(s) that you want to order and click
here to go to our online ordering page
Apply here for a username and password
All applications for use will be forwarded to NZ Knights
management for approval. Once approved a username and password
will be issued.

Phototek owns all copyright and other
intellectual property rights in all of the
photographs (Images) associated
with this site. The Knights FC logo and Hyundai
A-League logo are owned by Knights FC and Hyundai
A-League respectively.
Users authorised by NZ Knights FC management can use
the high resolution version of the images on this
site for EDITORIAL purposes only. Authorised users
cannot on sell any images on this site for monetary
or other gain. These images are not royalty free and
cannot be used for advertising without contacting NZ
Knights FC management and obtaining written
authority.
Images used must contain the following credit /
bi-line. Phototek/Photographers Name. The
photographers name will accompany each image.
Permission to use images from this site is at the
sole discretion of
NZ Knights FC.
While all care has been taken in the preparation of
this site and its content, it may contain
typographical or other errors and may be changed or
updated without notice. Phototek and NZ Knights FC will not be liable
for any indirect or consequential damages, including
but not limited to, loss of profits or for any claim
made on the user / client by any other party, as a
result of any error or misinformation contained in
this site and quality of any photographs available through
this site.
While all care is taken to maintain service of this
site 24/7, there are times when it is necessary to
take the site offline for maintenance. Given the
public domain of the internet this site may not be
available from time to time due to circumstances
beyond the control of Phototek and NZ Knights FC. Phototek and
NZ Knights FC are not liable to any person or party
for any cost, loss or liability (including loss of
profit or other consequential damage) arising from
the service of this site not being available.
This agreement shall be deemed to be an agreement
made in New Zealand and shall be subject to,
governed by and interpreted in accordance with the
laws of New Zealand.
